BRUSSELS | The two-day Campaign Tour in Brussels – May 25 & 26 2021

The two-day Campaign Tour: "No More Burning Trees I RED". The campaign tour is organized by Forest Defenders Alliance[1] and Comité Schone Lucht NL[2]. The main goal of the campaign is to encourage both the European Commission and the European Parliament to carry out a truly sustainable revision of the European "Renewable Energy Directive" (RED)[3], without defining forest biomass combustion as climate neutral. Either forest biomass should be excluded.

During the Tour, a number of media events will take place at some locations in Brussels (such as the European Parliament, Place du Luxembourg) with invited Members of the European Parliament and scientists. A joint kick-off for the press and media will take place on 25 May at 12 noon Place du Luxembourg.
